Its intended audience is clearly undergrad social sciences students that don't have a solid preparation on Mathematics. The book is full with pratice problems that will help you across the different chapters. The authors analyses several fundamental issues such as functions, matrices, derivatives, partial derivatives, a first approach to optimization, integrals and a first dynamics analysis - a good introduction to Difference Equations and Differential Equations.
If you are an undergrad without solid preparation on Mathematics, and wish to understand the mechanics of Economics, then this is a good option.
