I have read through some of the Motor AgeA7 Heating & A/C: The Motor Age Training Self-Study Guide for ASE Certification study guides and have found them to be severely lacking in detail. This book gives a complete overview of a/c systems and would be a great addition to your library.

(More customer reviews)This book like its prevuious editon does not cover PCM very much and many modern cars rely on PCM for igntion sytem proper functioning and diagnosis.
Forample the figure on showing Triggering and Switching both show the primary and secondary circuits with a crank sensor but do not show how the PCM plays a key role in the final functioning of the circuits.
It is a big shame !

He is also home schooled, and I chose this as his math text for the year. He says that he can see how he will use every problem that he has tried in the book.
