(More customer reviews)Using this book as a Junior in High school, I can say that this book can be helpful, but in the end it will depend on how your teacher ultimately ends up using it. For example, the stories covered in this book are typically read at the college level, and followed by exercises spanning multiple pages. This is both beneficial and constricting at the same time. While completing these exercises (Such as filling in the blank, writing your own opinion of the story, etc.) will definitely help you to understand and reflect more deeply on the story presented, they can be easily overwhelming if your grasp of Spanish is not advanced enough. If this book is required reading for your class, ask your teacher how she plans on using it. Otherwise, you will be surprised how challenging it might be.
Bottom line: I would recommend this to more advanced or serious Spanish students.
