Two of the most reknowned scholars in bioethics have assembled a high quality collection of scholarly material which is a necessary resource for those seriously engaged in bioethical inquiry concerning death. Many facets of the issue of death and dying are treated: the definition of death, ethics of euthanasia, how we should care for the dying, etc. It is a most up-to-date text which continues the 25-year-old heated discussion into the mechanics and meaning of human death.

Transcreation of the Bhagavad Gita Review

Transcreation of the Bhagavad Gita
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've read bits and pieces of other translations of the Bhagavad Gita, and, while they all have unique and useful features, this version is by far the most enjoyable to read. The Bhagavad Gita: As It Is includes the Sanskrit and a word-by-word translation, which is great, but the abundance of commentary, while useful, makes it difficult to simply read the Gita and form one's own opinion. The Transcreation is very bare bones, with only enough footnotes to clarify terms which would be unfamiliar to most western readers. The inclusion of the most important interpretations (including Gandhi's, which is very enlightening) is very useful and succinct.
Overall, this is the best Bhagavad Gita to use if one wishes to become quickly and simply acquainted with this sacred and influential work.
