(More customer reviews)This book is a must for anyone interested in understanding soil and how plants grow. As a UCCE Master Gardener, I have used this as basis for teaching a Nutrient (fertilizer) class to the public. It explains the interrelation of soil type, moisture and the macro- and micronutrients to successfully grow pkants. Even organic growers should know these fundamentals: the plants need the nutrients however they get them.

PLEASE PROVIDE COURSE INFORMATIONThe handbook presents fertilization, nutrient management, and related topics based on the fundamentals of biological and physical sciences. This edition features increased emphasis on the relationships of fertilizer application and crop management to environmental quality. It is excellent for developing an understanding of agronomic principles and practices. A 12-page 4-color section is also included which shows various plants with nutrient deficiencies.
