(More customer reviews)This books really gets inside the culture of the Prison Environment. It presents a balanced view of a complex subject (to say the least). It answers the question, "What's it like in prison?" without all of the Hollywood horror or glory that usually paints a distorted picture. A must-read for anyone who's interested in working in the Corrections field. Having worked on a maximum yard 'on the inside' for many years, I found myself nodding 'yes' throughout this easy-reading book. Very well-written.
