(More customer reviews)The book has been well written. The author has a thorough understanding of the analytical approach combined with the real life experimental data. I have read over 10 different system identification books and none of those books even come close to this.

System identification is the process of developing orimproving a mathematical representation of a physical system usingexperimental data. Over the past decade, several system identificationtechniques have been developed within different disciplines. Thistext/reference brings together the significant advances over the pastdecade into a single unified source — with common mathematicalnotation that will enable readers from a variety of engineering areas— e.g., aerospace, electrical, civil, and mechanical engineering—to apply system identification to engineering systems. Focuses on the three types of identification in engineeringstructures — modal parameter identification; structural-modelparameter identification; and control-model identification. For researchers and engineers, students, and teachers in vibrations, controls and system identification.
