(More customer reviews)This book is a really good level zero/level one pre-literacy textbook for ESL classes serving adult refugees in the US. It's pre-literacy section is a little short, so I found I needed to make more (but similar) worksheets. I also supplemented this section with Linda Mrowicki's Pre-Reading Resource Book (Linmore Publishing), and Linda Mrowicki's First Words in English. Peggy Kay's books "Games for Learning" and "Games for Reading", although targeting children, helped me understand other skills such as muscle development, spatial orientation, and visual memory which I needed to work on with students who were illiterate in their first language. But this book and it's companion book "Foundations" were the core textbooks and they were great.
