(More customer reviews)I ordered this book to go along with my graduate courses in reading. This textbook has all one needs to perform assessment measures. It has the foundation information for academic measurements, i.e., criterion and norm-referenced, measurable objectives, and ascertaining validity and reliablility. It explains the foundation for and use of various types of tests such as essay, short response, T/F, and multiple choice tests. I like that the book is organized into parts where specific chapters cover a certain concept. For example, part two is entitled Written Tests and it has chapters 6, 7, & 8 each of which covers in detail a type of test. This is an excelent resource and reference guide for reading teachers and college students enrolled in reading education.
