(More customer reviews)I was recommended a stack of books by my college's field experience office for student teaching, and this was the least helpful. If you want to be a great student teacher, just try to be a great teacher, period. This book outlined a lot of good practices for student teachers, but they were all rather common sense-ish. The book did not offer a simple outline; it tries to do everything, and no book can. Any decent teaching college will go over most of these points ad nauseum before you begin, making the book very unuseful. I would go with books that offer direct and simple outlines for you to elaborate on when you use them yourself.
