(More customer reviews)This book is designed as a text for college coursework and is in use at many major universities; as such, the price is not unreasonable. Neither is it over priced as a business reference book. Compare, for example, the CCH Master Tax Guide, which is about double the price. I have used this book for years in courses I have taught at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. I've also used the book in my CPA practice for 20+ years. In the 1980s, I studied under Drs. Claire and Gordon May, so I know that the book is based on a combined minimum 60 years of experience in working with accounting students and CPAs. It is now in its 8th edition. The authors put a great deal of effort into ensuring that it is always fresh and up-to-date. It is an invaluable resource, especially for developing professionals.
